Our food and Bar

Our menu is always evolving to meet our guest’s tastes. The restaurant offers a wide selection of healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Our cooking is influence by Latin American, Asian and European cooking styles. We offer a wide selection of vegetarian meals, all our vegetables are twice disinfected and rinsed with purified water.

Our preparation starts early, with the skill of an artisan, the heat of the oven and a few fine ingredients, our bakers make bread that is simply delicious — and baked fresh in our wood oven every day.

Breakfast is the most important meal before a busy day of hiking, exploring caves, swimming in rivers and climbing mountains. You will wake up with a fresh cup of Guatemala’s award winning coffee, and enjoy French toast, crepes or our “desayuno chapin” with a side dish of fresh seasonal fruit and a fresh glass of all natural orange juice. We also have a nice range of smoothies, tea and fresh baked pastries.

For lunch how about a juicy burger made with our homemade buns? Or you can choose from a large selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, nachos, and fajitas, just to name a few. Our fries are home cut and seasoned with sea salt. Our tortillas are made the artisanal way by our local staff, a tradition that is passed on in Guatemalan famlies from generation to generation.

After a nice day of exploring the Lanquin jungle you are going to be hungry, REALLY HUNGRY! So for that we offer a variety of meals: curries, salads, pastas, vegetables pies, burritos and healthy light soups. Make sure to check our board next to the bar to see the day’s specials. But our specialty is our WOOD OVEN PIZZAS. We fire our wood oven everyday to bake the most delicious pizzas, made from scratch, with all the best ingredients to choose from, they are SUPERB!

We try to buy in the local markets but for some things there isn’t enough local production of vegetables and herbs. It sometimes gets tricky running a restaurant in a remote area but we figure out a way to get our stuff from different sides of Guatemala… fresh vegetables from Antigua, cheese from the city, and gourmet coffee from Huehuetenango.

In our bar you’ll fine a nice variety of local beers, in bottles and on draft, shots, and cocktails. Our staff will make sure that you have a good time and can make any drink wish possible. Our bar is stock with wide range of liquor from whiskey, bourbon, rum, gin, Martini, Sambuca, Pisco…. and mixers. Happy hour is everyday from 6 to 8 pm.
